Keyline, architectural studio specializing in the development of sustainable architectural projects, has optimized the design of Moclinejo sports center, a small village in the Axarquia Malaga, minimizing energy consumption derived from its lighting and ventilation.
Thus, the flag gets that 80% of the lighting during the opening hours is natural and free, and only resort to the ventilation system is activated in 33% of the hours of use during the year. This was achieved by creating an intelligent 3D model conAutodesk Revit Architecture and subsequent energy analysis, lighting and Autodesk Ecotect Analysis CFD.
Although the sport center has a small equipment and the installation of energy efficient would imply a refinement of the same high costs, Keyline studied two areas in which progress could be made in terms of environmental optimization simply from design options.
Thus, Keyline bet to achieve the greatest weight of consumption in both areas is done naturally. Because the boundary conditions are always different and that analysis of this type is necessary to evaluate all variables (topography, adjacent buildings, ...), the study developed a virtual model that allows you to test and evaluate design alternatives to find the most optimal from a design strategy.
This model is performed with various tools for modeling context Image Modeler on Autodesk supported, and the bulk of development using Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk software methodology for working with BIM (Building Information Modelling) in architectural designs.
Once built this model, Keyline managed to create a design that sacase the most of natural ventilation rely on wind currents that occur during the year. Thus, through a peripheral groove and the venturi effect favoring the ridge, were able to create adequate ventilation to meet annual 5850 hours, ie, 66.8% of the hours of use would have the flag during a year.
